Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!

Mother's-Day 2019

Mother’s Day is such an important day as we celebrate those who gave us life, or those who dedicated their life as our mother figures. There is no possible way to repay our mom for the hard work she has put into raising us.

Our idea of the perfect gift for mom is some time for herself, drinking her favorite drink, reading a great book, and listening to her favorite music with Comply™ Foam Tips. We asked the mothers here at Comply™, “What song has the greatest memories for you as a mom?” to create the perfect playlist for our mom’s out there this Mother’s Day.

Kate, Inside Sales Manager

I Hope You Dance – Lee Ann Womack

“It’s a song I heard often and loved when my kids were just babies.  When I hear the song, it always gives me visions of their weddings or just a lifetime of good advice.”

Jump in The Line – Harry Belefonte

“My kids and I would conga line all over the house…often and we would “follow the leader” with dance moves.”

Jaea, Office Manager | HR Generalist

Legends Never Die – Alan Walker

“This is a favorite with my boys – we’ll blast this on Bluetooth in the car and my boys will literally sing along at the top of their lungs. They discovered the song through a fan made video of Jurassic World on YouTube – so they associate this song with that film. Not only is it cute that they’ve memorized the lyrics, but the lyrics itself are empowering – I often ask my boys, “what do Legends do?” when they’re feeling down or wanting to give up and that usually motivates them.”

Becky, Accountant

In My Daughter’s Eyes – Martina McBride

“This song is so important to me because of the lyrics. My daughter is my whole wide world, and every time I hear this song, I think of her.”

Ann, Retail Business Development Manager

Banana Pancakes – Jack Johnson

“I used to sing this to my son all the time when he was a baby – he loved mashed up bananas for breakfast and this is what I used to sing while mashing and feeding him.”

Coming Home – Leon Bridges

“I slow dance with my daughter to this song a lot before putting her to bed. It is such a nice song to end our day and slow things down.”

Try Everything – Shakira

“My kids used to LOVE dancing to this song when we had living room dance parties. We tried to learn the dance routine the tigers do to this in the movie “Zootopia” – with mixed results. 😊”

Mai, Production Supervisor

I Will Carry You – Selah

“I always remember the ones I have but never forget the ones lost.”

Nicole, Chemist

Can’t Help Falling in Love – Elvis Presley

“I played it for them in when they were in my belly in hopes that it would calm them down when there were fussy when they were out. It worked once, didn’t work any time after that, hahahaha, and now they complain whenever it comes on and tell me to change it, lol. But, it is still one of my favorite songs.”

Come Alive – Hugh Jackman

“Good song about being courageous and loving yourself. And it’s fun to dance to 😊”

Shauntell, Planner

Lovely Day – Bill Withers

“I have sung this to my baby since the day I brought him home.  From my heart to his.”

Patty, Production Planner | Shipping Supervisor

Finally Friday – George Jones

“KS95 would play it at 5 o’clock on Fridays and typically my girls and I would be in the car on our way home from after-school-latch-key. We had hand movements for the chorus and they both knew all the words… though I’m positive the inappropriate parts when over their heads. 😊 We were just happy to be starting the weekend and this was our way of starting it off with some fun!”

My Wish – Rascal Flats

“It’s every parent hopes for their child/children.   This was a hit in 2006 – just after and before my girls graduated from High School.  Very similar to Jason Mraz’s song “Have It All” …. Which is my new fav for the Grandkiddo’s.”

We curated a playlist based on our mom’s responses, plus some extras that we dedicate to our mothers this Mother’s Day. Listen below:
